But now 50+GB is fairly common for game sizes, and 100+ isn't uncommon anymore. I'd set a game to download over night and it would usually be done by the morning. I didn't mind throughout most of last gen, and the gen before. I'm stuck with it for the forseeable future =/
And the younger members of our village tried to get everyone to sign up to the rural gigabit voucher scheme last year but most residents are old and don't give a damn about internet speeds, so we couldn't get anywhere near enough people to sign up. Anybody else experienced this BTW I am using an ethernet cable. I dont care if its super fast, but this is just ridiculous. Downloading a 10gb game took like 8 hours. I wouldn't mind so much if my price was discounted to match the speed provided, but nope, that doesn't happen here. Getting incredibly slow download speeds on ps5 Help & Tech Support My internet isnt super fast, it has like 8mbps download speed, but my ps5 is getting less than 1mbps. But our world class British engineers just can't manage such tricky terrain down into our village, while Europe lays cable across mountain ranges to connect rural communities =P Best answer: You can get away with some really slow internet speeds on the Ps4, around 3 Mbps for download and an upload speed of 1Mbps, but its the ping.
We're about a 90 second drive (at 20mph) down a slightly sloping hill off a main road with proper fibre cable. I was previously a Cox Internet customer and I was able to get 984 mbps download speeds. Im new to AT&T and I got the 1000 mbps download and the 1000 mbps upload package and when connected via ethernet cable Im only seeing 400-ish mbps download and 35 to 57 mbps upload speeds. I'm a 5-10 min drive outside Canterbury, Kent. Slow download & upload on PS5 using 1000/1000 AT&T Fiber.
